Meet the Team

Jono & Jillian Darville

The Darville's journey as church planters for Living Hope Presbyterian began in earnest in 2025 after receiving a “Full Recommendation” from the PCA Mission to North America Church Planter Assessment. Jono holds an M.A. from Southeastern Seminary, where he also serves as a Fellow with The Center for Faith and Culture. He completed his pastoral internship at Peace Presbyterian Church (PCA), where he also served as Pastor of Youth.

Before entering pastoral ministry, Jono worked as a Master Trainer with The Center for Leadership Studies and co-led an arts ministry in New York City. Jillian is a live wedding painter and homemaker. She loves interior design, hosting, and British television shows. They have two children, Jono and Haddie.

As a family, the Darvilles enjoy spending time with friends and family and are passionate about seeing the hope of the gospel take root in Pittsboro's growing community.

Dale & Jan Walley

In 1978, soon after college, Dale and Jan moved to Raleigh to join a Staff Training Center for collegiate ministry (Navigators). In 1979, they had the opportunity to be involved with other families who were called to plant Peace Presbyterian Church in Cary. They have been members over the last four decades, Dale serving as an elder and Jan serving in family and women’s ministries.

Because the Walleys have been enriched through the planting of Peace Presbyterian Church, they believe God is now calling them to help plant Living Hope Presbyterian in Pittsboro. Dale will serve as the part-time Director of Outreach and Evangelism for Living Hope.

Dale has enjoyed a forty-year career in commercial flooring sales. Jan has been a lifelong homemaker. They have five married children with nineteen grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their local grandchildren (5) and traveling to four parts of the country where their other families live.

Temporary Session

Church planting is truly a team effort.  So is church governance.  Living Hope Presbyterian, even during these infant stages, is governed by a body of elders, not just Pastor Darville.  This body of elders is called the Session.  It is temporarily made up of elders from other churches in the Presbytery, the regional governing body in the PCA. As the church develops and God raises up elders from within the congregation, the church will elect its own elders to replace the temporary session.
